AIR-COOLED CHILLERS KPI Engineering, Inc. has provided the specifications dated May 22, 2020 and 100% drawing dated July 15, 2020 for the chillers that are attached separately; see Attachment “A” & “B”. Additional specifications, some of which are included in the drawing and specifications provided by KPI Engineering, Inc. and some that may not be, however, by reference they are now incorporated in the chillers specifications. WARRANTY: Ten (10) Years Parts (refrigerant included) and Labor. Delivery: Bid price must include all delivery charges. The awarded bidder shall be responsible to provide the necessary equipment including a crane to unload the equipment to the designated area on the Partin Settlement Elementary School campus. Manufacturers Field Services: A. OEM start-up is performed by factory trained and authorized servicing technicians confirming equipment has been correctly installed and passes specification checklist prior to equipment becoming operational and covered under OEM warranty. 1. Included in the OEM Startup: (a) Centrifugal and Rotary Screw/Scroll Chillers (b) Applied Chiller manufacturers shall maintain service capabilities no more than 50 miles from the jobsite. (c) The manufacturer shall furnish complete submittal wiring diagrams of the package unit as applicable for field maintenance and service. (d) The manufacturer shall also furnish all software needed for field maintenance and service. Training of Owner’s Personnel A. Training must be provided by a manufacturer’s factory master training representative. 1. Train and instruct two groups for two 7.5 –hour day (each group will be approximately 12 people). Each group must be trained in separate occasions to avoid operations disruptions. 2. Among topics training must include: (a) Unit operation (b) Troubleshooting and repair (c) Preventative maintenance 1.04 DELIVERY TERMS A. DELIVERY TIME Delivery Time is of the essence in the award of this Bid. Bidders must take this into consideration when preparing their bids. We are anticipating a September 22, 2020 Board approval delivery should be on or before December 7, 2020. If delivery cannot be made by this date, then state on the bid sheet when delivery could be made. The School Board reserves the right to reject bids, which cannot comply with the delivery requirement. Inasmuch as failure to complete the delivery within contract time will result in substantial loss to the owner and damages cannot be calculated with any degree of certainty, it is hereby agreed that the Bidder will pay to the owner $500.00 for each and every calendar day elapsing between the scheduled delivery date and any subsequent date of delivery, as defined in paragraph of the terms and conditions.
