Diversified Business Models requiring multi-faceted financial analysis. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Performs highly advanced and professional accounting work with little supervision, utilizing independent judgment to resolve problems in the municipal financial system. Monitors the City’s cash, investments, and debt including analysis, reconciliations, and wire transfers. Makes decisions based on generally accepted accounting principles and under the approval of the Assistant Finance Director. Maintains fixed asset records. Reviews the preparation of federal and state payroll reports. Monitors grants awarded to the City and prepares related year-end schedules. Analyzes and reconciles numerous accounts on a regular basis. Prepares schedules for year-end close and the annual financial statement audit. Works closely with IT to resolve financial system errors and coordinate periodic updates.
