1. Estimated number of samples per year
Government Response: Provided are the projected quantities for the three years. Quantities are estimates only. Regardless of the actual quantity ordered, the awardee must honor the unit price quoted.

2. What type of samples (lungs, livers, urine, culture supernatants, plasma, serum, etc.,) (Mammal = Mice Vs Human) (Plants vs Animals) (microbes = mycobacteria?) (Virus?)
Government's Response: Can be biofluids (plasma, serum, urine) and organs (any organ such as - heart, lung, kidney, jejunum, duodenum, bone marrow, liver etc.). Exact detail of sample will vary from study to study.
3. Lipidomics = Screening/non -targetted/global: What type of lipid class? They are several lipid classes (sphingolipids, ceramides, phospholipids, eicosanoids, fatty acids, and other neutral lipids)
Government's Response: Global and all classes of lipids.
4. MRM = Targetted/Specific: Which lipid classes (as mentioned above)
Government's Response: All classes of lipids
5. Analyses = Upto what stage, Lipid quantities or upto Biostat analyses to compare across various sample types i.e., e.g. diseased vs healthy?

Government's Response: Up to biostat/bioinformatics, correlation with various category of samples, analysis to establish correlation with genders, treatment groups, enough support to make data publishable.

Contractors must provide a statement of acknowledgement of Amendments 0001 and 0002. The response date for offers remains March 27, 2018 by 12:00 p.m. (EST).
