The City of Salinas seeks responses to this Request of Qualifications (RFQ) from professional, qualified firms or individuals (Design teams) who are capable of performing a site analysis, preparing construction drawings to obtain a building permit, defining the specifications and cost estimate for public bidding purposes for the construction of new soccer fields and a half basketball court. A cost estimate, proposal and schedule are also requested in a sealed envelope, but will not be the primary factor to determine the contract award. In summary, the services sought by the RFQ will provide a conceptual design for approval by the City that reflects the intention of the Grant application, has been shared with the community, and may include attendance as technical support for staff at a Library and Community Services Commission and/or City Council meeting. Once the approved conceptual design is delivered, construction drawings will be initiated through 75% completion. Once refined with City input, 100% drawings will be completed in a form suitable to obtain a building permit, and for use in the public bidding and construction process. The Design Team will participate in the bid process and bid award. Is anticipated but not included in this scope of work, that the Design Team will be retained to perform construction inspections and oversight services after the bid is awarded.
