The Project includes, without limitation, furnishing all necessary labor, materials, equipment and other incidental and appurtenant Work necessary to satisfactorily complete the Project, as more specifically described in the Contract Documents. This Work will be performed in strict conformance with the Contract Documents, permits from regulatory agencies with jurisdiction, and applicable regulations. The quantity of Work to be performed and materials to be furnished are approximations only, being given as a basis for the comparison of BIDS. Actual quantities of Work to be performed may vary at the discretion of the City Engineer. This Ceramic Studio Kiln Installation (D-937) CIP project constructing shade structure and extending utilities (gas, electric, etc.) for the new kiln installation by others adjacent to outdoor structure containing existing two kilns outside of the Parks and Recreation Ceramic Studios building located in Live Oak Park. Work includes constructing a new shading structure with equipment pad for ceramics kiln and relevant electrical and gas hookups, constructing new fences and gates for security, and demolishing existing fence and concrete slab on grade. Note majority of the concrete slab on grade work is for ADA path of travel to the kiln. Parks and Recreation will be stopping ceramic studio programming for the duration of the project. However, the remaining Live Oak Park programming such as adjacent tennis courts or baseball fields will remain active as such Contractor to take into account phasing measures, coordination with Public Works and Parks Recreation Departments and placement of proper safety measures at construction site.
