REQUEST FOR INFORMATION / SOURCES SOUGHT INQUIRY

The 673d Contracting Squadron, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER), Alaska is seeking information and sources that can provide service and maintenance on the Cepheid GeneXpert PCR analyzer located at 5955 Zeamer Ave., JBER, AK 99506 to determine available sources.  This Request for Information (RFI)/Sources Sought Synopsis (SSS) is open to all types of businesses including small businesses.   

The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code is 811219 - Other Electric and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance and a corresponding Small Business Size Standard of $20.5M. 

The information in this notice is based on current information available to date.  This information is subject to change and is not binding to the Government.  Any updated information will be provided in future announcements and posted electronically on the Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fbo.gov.  Failure to respond to this SSS will not preclude participation in any future solicitation, if issued.

The Government will use this information to determine the best acquisition strategy for this procurement; however, our intent is to award a sole source contract to the incumbent under the authority of FAR Part 13.106-1(b)(1)(i).  The Government is interested in all businesses to include, Large Business, Small Business, Small Disadvantaged Businesses 8(a)s, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses, Hubzone Businesses, and Women-Owned Small Businesses, as well as SB Teams.
