The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to award a purchase order to Beckman Coulter 200 S. Kraemer Blvd., Brea, CA. The authority for this sole source is FAR Part 6.302-1. The contractor shall provide a J6-M1 Floor Model Centrifuge and Swinging Bucket. Beckman Coulter can provide a unique high capacity refrigerated centrifuge which is able to centrifuge in six 1-Liter bottles of liquid simultaneously at cool temperatures. Only one award will be made. This is not a request for competitive proposals and a solicitation is not available. Firms that believe they can provide these services/supplies are encouraged to identify themselves and give written notice to the Contract Specialist prior to the response date. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action will be based on responses to this notice and are solely within the discretion of the U.S. Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
