Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Charleston intends to award a sole source modification for engineering support services to AMSEC LLC, Virginia Beach VA under contract N65236-99-D-6808. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. This sole source modification will be issued pursuant to FAR 6.302-1 as the current contractor is the only known source available to satisfy the agency's needs during this period. The proposed ceiling increase of approximately $9,000,0000 and extension of the period of performance through 31 Dec 2002 will allow sufficient time for award of a competitive, follow-on contract. The applicable North American Industry Classification (NAIC) Code is 541330 and the size standard is $23 Million. Reference NOTE 22.
