SPAWAR Systems Center Charleston intends to issue a sole source modification to existing contract N65236-06-D-6604, which was awarded on a sole source basis, to L-3 Communications Corporation, Salt Lake City, UT for a base year and one one-year option period. The proposed modification is for a ceiling increase of approximately $2.3M to cover the procurement Airborne Modem Assembly (AMA) units for installation with the Tactical Common Data Link (TCDL) system aboard the P-3 aircraft. These units must be designed specifically to work with the overall Airborne Tactical Common Data Link (TCDL) System previously provided by L-3 Communications and currently installed on the US Navy P-3 aircraft.
