This is a notice of intent to increase the ceiling of contract N66001-06-D-0014with Gnostech, Inc. that currently provides Information Assurance relatedservices on behalf of the Department of Defense (DoD) and Department ofHomeland Security. This contract supports the need for qualified securityspecialists who are not only experts in all aspects of network security, butalso bring extensive experience in the application of that expertise to theunique challenges and constraints of ensuring the security of Command, Control,Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance(C4ISR) systems operating in a classified environment. The NAICS code for thisprocurement is 541512. This 5-year, 100% Small Business Set-Aside contract iscurrently in its third year. At the time of award, the Governmentunderestimated the amount of anticipated work under the contract, which hasseen extensive growth over the first two years of performance. This actionwill include a ceiling increase of approximately $7.9 million and 89,000 hours.This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or quotes andis posted for 30 days from 5 September 2008. A determination by the Governmentnot to compete based upon response to this notice is solely within thediscretion of the Government.
