THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE. THIS NOTICE IS ISSUED FOR MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION OR INVITATION FOR OFFERORS TO SUBMIT PROPOSALS. A SYNOPSIS OF THE PROPOSED CONTRACT ACTION WILL BE POSTED AT A LATER DATE THAT WILL PROVIDE INSTRUCTIONS FOR OFFERORS TO RESPOND TO THIS OPPORTUNITY.
The Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC), National Institute for Occupational Safety & Health (NIOSH) is conducting market research to determine the availability of qualified small business Architect-Engineer (A/E) firms capable of providing A/E services for projects predominantly located in the Tri-state area of Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. Due to the close coordination required between the eventual awardee and NIOSH staff, an 80-mile radius restriction has been established. Therefore, any awardee A/E firm must have an established production office located within 80 miles of one of the following NIOSH campuses: Cincinnati, Ohio; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; or Morgantown, West Virginia.
Regarding the scope of work, the A/E firm must be capable of performing all services and furnish all materials required for projects which require multi-discipline A/E services for various facilities at CDC/NIOSH. Disciplines and services may include (but are not limited to): field investigations, surveys, design calculations, drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for, repair, alteration, and new construction projects. Services may also include special studies, reports, programming, and other associated work. Each project will be clearly defined in a Project Task Order(PTO).
This requirement will be fulfilled pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 36.6 and The Brooks Act. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code applicable to this requirement is 541310 (Architectural Services). The current size standard for this NAICS code is $8 million average annual receipts for the firm’s preceding three fiscal years. The CDC is seeking a qualified small business firm to perform these services. Interested small business A/E firms which can fulfill the scope of work (and meet the established geographic restriction) are requested to respond to this notice by adding their business name to the Interested Vendors List for this posting. Please add your business name only if you are interested in the requirement as a Prime A/E contractor.
Following the review of the interested A/E firms who respond to this notice, a set-aside decision will be made, and a synopsis will be posted at a later date. This future synopsis will include additional information and instructions for responding to this opportunity. Interested contractors are advised to continuously monitor SAM.gov for all future updates.
