AMENDMENT 01

The purpose of this amendment is to inform all interested parties that the answers to all the questions that were submitted by the June 30th deadline will be provided on or around July 17, 2015, instead of July 6th. Additionally, the due date for final quotes is being pushed from July 21, 2015 to August 7, 2015. More information will be posted with the July 17th amendment. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged at this time.

The Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USU) is the Nation's federal health sciences university and is committed to excellence in military medicine and public health during peace and war. We provide the Nation with health professionals dedicated to career service in the Department of Defense and the United States Public Health Service and with scientists who serve the common good. We serve the uniformed services and the Nation as an outstanding academic health sciences center with a worldwide perspective for education, research, service, and consultation; we are unique in relating these activities to military medicine, disaster medicine, and military medical readiness. USU is located in Bethesda, MD on the grounds of the Naval Support Activity Bethesda. Additional information regarding USU can be found on our website: www.usuhs.mil.

USU has a requirement to renovate the majority of the security system currently in place, and to establish annual maintenance after completion. It is anticipated that the resultant award will be a single award firm fixed priced contract for the installation, and one (1) base year of maintenance with four (4) additional one-year options.

Please see attached "Full Solicitation" for more details, including the Statement of Work. This requirement will have a 2-day site vist.

Questions/clarifications must be submitted via email to [email protected] by June 30th. Any question received after June 30th will not be answered. Questions will not be answered over the phone or submitted by any other means. All questions will be answered in an amendment to the solicitation posted on or around July 17th.

Quote packages are due by 10:00 PM Eastern Local Time on August 7th. Quotes must be submitted via email to [email protected]. Quotes will not be accepted by any other means. Late quotes will not be considered.
