USDA-Natural Resources Conservation Service is announcing a project under the Emergency Watershed Protection Program for Cass County, Texas. The project provides for constructing timber headwalls to protect the roads from erosion caused by turbulence at the inlet and outlets of culverts; placing rock riprap armoring and sand-cement bag riprap along the edges of roads to protect the road banks and surface from erosion during overtopping events; and placing rock armor along stream banks to protect county roads from channel erosion.

The work must be completed in accordance with the specifications and drawings. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be posted o/a November 17, 2010.
