The Regional Health Contracting Office-Pacific at Tripler Army Medical Center, Hawaii intends to award a sole source contract to US Bioservices Corp. for Cartical Autologous Chondrocytes Implant.  This implant is patient specific and surgery is scheduled for March 2017.  US Bioservices Corp. is the sole provider of this implant.  The statutory authority permitting this award without providing for full and open competition is 41 U.S.C. 1901, as cited in FAR 13.106(b)(1)(i) which authorizes the government to award  contracts when there is only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
