THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT, NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. A SOLICIATATION DOCUMENT WILL NOT BE ISSUED AND PROPOSALS WILL NOT BE REQUESTED. The National Institutes of Health (NIH), Clinical Center (CC), Office of Purchasing and Contracts (OPC) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with CareFusion, 3750 Torrey View Court, San Diego, CA 92130, under the authority of 41 United States Code (U.S.C.) 253(c)(1) as set forth in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1: Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Biomedical Engineering and Property Management Section at the NIH in Bethesda, MD has a requirement for software maintenance and enhancements, upgrades, and pharmacy support for the Clinical Center Carefusion, Alaris medication delivery devices, models 8000, 8015, 8100, 8100A, 8100B and 8100BX01EE. All materials to be installed or replaced shall be furnished by the contractor. All replacement materials shall be OEM or equivalent.

This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability in writing to Stacey Polk, [email protected] within 7 calendar days of issuance of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
