Buildings contain fuel using equipment with Carbon Monoxide (CO) as a by-product. A cracked heat exchanger or failed venting of the equipment could allow CO to enter the air supplied to the occupied spaces.
Provide a 120V single-station CO alarm with battery backup and integral detection. Provide one in each space containing the CO source equipment. Alarms shall meet the requirements of UL 2034. Alarms shall be installed in accordance with manufacturer's instructions and NFPA 720, 2012. Hardwire from the nearest 120V un-switched lighting or receptacle circuit using 3 #12 THHN/THWN in ½" EMT or a short run of MC cable where applicable. (Total of 15 alarms in 8 separate buildings).
Bids will be evaluated by Cost, Experience, Work history and Quality.
Site vis is mandatory or bids will not be considered if not present.
