Frederick National Laboratory for Cancer Research (FNLCR) Operated by Leidos Biomedical Research, Inc. (Leidos Biomed) for the National Cancer Institute requires the Subcontractor/BSSC to: a) enter into agreements with medical institutions (sites) to enroll research participants and collect biospecimens, b) provide study activation, training, coordination, and assistance, c) provide reimbursement for biospecimen acquisition, data acquisition, and participant and provider engagement activity, and d) invoice Leidos Biomed for those activities. Sites will primarily be members of the NCI National Community Oncology Research Program (NCORP). The project will utilize five or more sites in 2019, up to 55 in 2020, and adding up to 100 sites in 2021, depending on 1) patient recruitment, 2) sample submission, and 3) contractual and programmatic discussions with NCI. Leidos Biomed expects up to 150 sites may be engaged in total for the Biobank project.
