Per 36 CFR § 51.11, the National Park Service (NPS) is cancelling the concessions prospectus for narrated interpretive bus tours within Acadia National Park as a result of industry response to the market uncertainties surrounding this opportunity and NPS concerns related to the potential for insufficient transportation for park visitors.

The cancellation will allow the NPS more time to determine how best to accommodate bus operators’ uncertainty and ensure adequate transportation options for Park visitors over the long term.
