The Pike and San Isabel National Forests in Colorado are advertising a prospectus for the operation of recreation facilities. A 5+5 year permit will be issued. A selection will be made in late summer so that a permit may be issued and an operator can be in place on January 1, 2009. When the prospectus is available it will be posted on the internet at: http://fsweb.psicc.r2.fs.fed.us/r2/psicc/recreation/concessionaire/index.shtml. Any Q & A’s or errata will be posted in the same location. A field review or show-me-trip is tentatively scheduled for the week of June 9th. As the itinerary is confirmed, it will be posted at the internet address shown above. Applicants are encouraged to research this opportunity on their own. Applications will need to be postmarked no later than July 3, 2008.
