DESCRIPTION: INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT TO First RF Corporation. The Air Force Flight Test Center (AFFTC), Edwards Air Force Base, CA intends to award a Sole Source FFP Purchase Order to First RF Corporation, 4865 Sterling Drive, Boulder, CO 80301-2307. First RF Corporation is the only source that provides calibration of ETS Lindgren Model 3182 Antennas with frequency range of 30MHZ to 1000MHz.
The requirements are as follows:
A. The contractor shall perform the following calibration on four (4) ETS Lindgren Model 3182 Broadband Biconical antennas with the Frequency range of 30MHz to 1000MHz.
1. Perform visual inspection and assemble Antennas Under Test (AUT).
2. Measure AUT VSWR for all 4 AUTs.
3. Perform calibration from 25MHz to 85 MHz (in 5MHz increments) and 80MHz to 1GHz (1MHz steps or less) on a 10 meter range distance.
4. Range length to achieve minimum far field.
5. Receive height as height acceptable for multi-path free range in minimum far field.
6. Polarizations Vertical and Horizontal.
7. Transmitter height at height acceptable for multi-path free range at minimum far field.
8. All measurement equipment to be NIST traceable.
9. Error budget to be 1.5 to 2.0 dB.
10. Gain Data will be calibrated in dBi over frequency.
B. Calibration data should be available within one week of receipt of the Antennas Under Test. Testing shall not be done during rain or snow as the results could be impacted.
C. The Model # 3182 Broadband Biconical Antennas have a type N female connector. The dimensions are as follows: Length = 21 inches, Width/Diameter = 16.26 inches and Height = 24.69 inches.
