A notice of intent to sole source synopsis (special notice) will be posted on FBO to notify the public of the Governments intent to make a sole source award for the Healthcare Simulation and Bioskills Department at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth. This sole source award is for cadavers that the department at NMCP has deemed necessary for proper patient care training. The requirements needed are very specific to the surgical procedure training that is being performed and are what is required for MOR to satisfy its mission at NMCP. Any deviation from the specifications of these products will increase the risk to the patient as training can't be properly performed and is unacceptable to the Government.
