Contractor will be required to provide Virtual and Telephonic Interpretation Services to/from English to include but not limited to the following languages: Arabic, Armenian, Cambodian, Cantonese, Farsi, Filipino, French, Hindi, Hmong, Ilocano, Japanese, Khmer, Korean, Mandarin, Marshallese, Mongolian, Portuguese, Punjabi, Romanian, Russian, Samoan, Spanish, Tagalog, Taiwanese, Tigrinya, Tongan, Vakayiti, Vietnamese, and Yoruba. The following indigenous languages are desirable but not required: Chatino, Mam, Mixteco, Purépecha, Tlapaneco, Triqui, and Zapoteco. Telephonic interpretation is real-time oral interpretation over the telephone. Virtual interpretation is real-time oral interpretation between individuals with limited English proficiency who are seeking or receiving services from DOR, and DOR staff through digital platforms such as Zoom, MS Teams, Videoconferencing, or other electronic or digital means. These virtual interpretation platforms are available using a computer, a mobile phone, or other electronic or digital means. If DOR staff are present, virtual interpretation sessions may include third parties such as consumer representatives, service providers, school officials or others. Virtual interpretation can be helpful when communicating with individuals with limited English proficiency who are seeking or receiving DOR services.
