AMENDMENT 0001

The purpose of this Admendment is to change the response due date to December 16, 2023. The Contracting office needs additional time, in order to respond to contractors questions. 

This Request for information (RFI) is for planning purposes only and shall not be considered as a Request for Quote (RFQ) or  Request for Proposal (RFP), or promise to use a future RFQ or a RFP. This request for informaion is to determine the availability of the product in the commercial market and determine if small businesses can meet all requirements in the Statement of Need (SON). RFI does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service. Further, the Air Force is not currently seeking quotes and will not accept unsolicited quotes.  Responders are advised the Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in the response to the RFI. All costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested party's expense.

David Grant Medical Center (DGMC),Travis AFB, Microbiology Department has a requirement for three (3) BX53 Microscope to include all listed accessories in the SON. The microscope must provide upright microscope frame, includes front mounted intensity control dial, Light Intensity Manager (LIM) ON/OFF button and Preset button. Coarse and fine coaxial focus control knobs are graduated to 1 micron, 25mm total focus strokBrand Namee at 0.1mm per fine rotation and 15 mm per coarse rotation. Coarse focus tension is adjustable and includes a focus stop.
