CapMetro has made a pledge to transition their fleet to zero emissions by 2035. As a step forward to meet this commitment, CapMetro has begun to purchase battery electric buses (BEB) and make the charging infrastructure modifications to support this new fleet. To meet infrastructure needs, CapMetro is continuing to update North Operations bus yard located at 9315 McNeil Rd, Austin, TX 78758 (“North Ops”) and South Operations bus yard located at 2910 E 5th St, Austin, TX 78702 (“2910”), to accommodate battery electric buses. The goal of this project is to design, build and install electrification infrastructure to accommodate BEBs at 2910. CapMetro intends to execute this project with a Design-Build project delivery method. The project includes two stages listed below: A. Design of electrification infrastructure at 2910 B.
