Sealed bids will be received by the CITY OF MARIETTA/BOARD OF LIGHTS AND WATER, at the PURCHASING DIVISION, 1ST FLOOR, CITY HALL, MARIETTA, GEORGIA 30060 until: Friday, June 25, 2021, 10:00 A.M., Local Time for the furnishing of all materials, labor, tools, skills, equipment and incidentals necessary for the construction of: CITY OF MARIETTA/BOARD OF LIGHTS AND WATER BURNT HICKORY ROAD SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENTS WATER AND SANITARY SEWER RELOCATION RFB-21-46524 at which time and place the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids received after the designated time will not be considered. The Owner of the project is the City of Marietta / Board of Lights and Water. The Engineer of Record for the project is Atkins North America. The principal items of construction are the following: 100 LF - 8” DIP Water Main and Appurtenances 2 EA – Relocate and Reconnect Exist. Fire Hydrant 1 EA – Relocate and Reconnect Exist. DCDA Assembly and Vault 3 EA – Relocate and Reconnect Various Size Water Meters and BFPs Bidders shall inform themselves concerning Georgia Laws, and comply with same. The Owner may make such investigations as he deems necessary to determine the ability of the bidder to perform the work, and the bidder shall furnish to the Owner all such information and data for this purpose as the Owner may request. The Owner reserves the right to reject any bid if the evidence submitted by, or investigation of, such Bidder fails to satisfy the Owner that such Bidder is properly qualified to carry out the obligations of the contract and to complete the work contemplated therein. Conditional bids will not be accepted. If the Contract is awarded, it will be awarded to the lowest Bidder whose evaluation by Owner indicates to Owner that the award will be in the best interests of the project.
