Sources Sought for Building No. 8320 Construct Restroom

This Sources Sought notice is issued for planning purpose only, and does not constitute a solicitation for proposals, offers, bids, and/or quotes.  This is not an announcement of a forthcoming solicitation, or confirmation that the Government will contract for the items contained in the Sources Sought, nor is any commitment on the part of the Government to award a contract implied.  Responses to this notice will assist the Government in identifying potential sources in determining if a Small Business set-aside of the solicitation is appropriate, and in determining whether or not this approach to securing contracting support is practicable.  Respondents are advised that the Government will not pay for any information or administrative cost incurred in response to this Sources Sought.  Responses to this notice will not be returned.

The 87th Contracting Squadron (87 CONS) - Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst (JB MDL), NJ is conducting market research to determine the existence of interested Small Business sources for North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 236220 - Commercial and Institutional Building Construction.  The small business size standard is $36.5M.

The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to obtain information on qualified and experienced contractors interested in providing proposals. The work consists of, but not limited to, providing all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items necessary to construct (2) new ADA accessible bathrooms (men's/women's) and Janitor's closet inside existing Building: 8320. Both a 1 ½" water line and a 4"sewer drain will need to be brought into prior of constructed bathroom. Janitor closet will have a S/S utility sink and a 30 GAL electric Hot water heater. Construction will be comprised of metal stud and ceiling joist, sheethed with plywood and sheetrock. Bathrooms will have (4) floor mounted toilets with polymer stalls, (2) men's urinals with polymer screens, and (4) drop in china sinks in countertop with Handicap Access. Interior finishes included: Tiled floor and first 4ft of interior walls. Fire Safety additions will be installed to accommodate new bathroom. A new 100A sub panel will be installed to feed all new electrical needs for restroom. Bathrooms will have electric 8ft heat strips for heating, and cooling capabilities.

In accordance with FAR 36.204, the estimated magnitude of this construction project is between $25K and $100K.
