Demolition of the former Radio Shack Building owned by Exeter Township on 3923 Perkiomen Avenue. Work is all inclusive lump sump and includes conducting an Asbestos Building Inspection by a certified inspector, installation of all erosion and sediment control measures, removal and disposal of the building, removal and termination of utilities to property line or service main as directed by utility owner, regrading of the demolition site with structural backfill, removal and backfill of other miscellaneous items shown on the plan, and installation of topsoil, grass seed, mulch and rolled erosion control products. All work to be performed in accordance with the Building Demolition Plan, dated September 11, 2020, Contract Documents, Special Provision Demolition of Existing Structures (Section 02050) and Publication 408/2020-IE. Owner is not aware of any existing asbestos materials onsite, and asbestos abatement is not part of the project and will be handled under separate contract if detected. Bids will be accepted until 1:00 PM, October 12, 2020, via PennBid (PennBid.ProcureWare.com) only. No paper bids will be accepted. Questions must be submitted via PennBid by October 5, 2020 at 9:00 AM. The award of Bid, if awarded, will be made by the Board of Supervisors at their public meeting on Monday, October 19, 2020 or at a subsequent meeting of the Board. Bids are to be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check in the amount of 10% of the bid. The Township reserves the right to waive any informalities or to refuse any or all of the bids. This project must comply with Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act.
