The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with BSD Robotics, Building 1, 243 Bradman St., Acacia Ridge, Queensland 4110, Australia, under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) 13.106-1b, Only One Source Reasonable Available, to acquireBSD-600 GenePunch Instrument System accessories.

The FBI has a requirement for the following BSD Robotics BSD-600 Gene Punch Instrument System accessories:

1. Punch & Die Assy 1.2-1.5mm, incl Air Manifold (P/N AS-PDS-345) Qty 5
2. 7x1.2 LH Light Guide Assy (P/N AS-LTG-355) Qty 5
3. Small Inner Chute Aluminum (P/N CHT-004) Qty 5
4. Small Outer Chute Assy, 5-led (P/N AS-CHT-002) Qty 5
5. PCB Spot Detector Populated, 5-led (P/N EPA-9037) Qty 5
6. Installation of items 1 - 5.

The required accessories are designed and manufactured by BSD Robotics specifically for use with its BSD-600 Duet Punch Instrument. Research conducted with knowledgeable individuals in Government and the related industry has determined BSD Robotics the only responsible source capable of meeting the FBI's requirement for accessories that have the form, fit, and function necessary for operation with its BSD-600 Duet Punch Instruments.

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement or submit quotes to this office by 3:00PM EST, Wednesday, July 1, 2009 to Mr. David V. Information received will be used solely to determine whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This contract will be awarded as a commercial item in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation, Parts 12 and 13. The awardee must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration Database and the Online Representations and Certifications. In addition, interested parties must also be registered and have completed the On-Line Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA).
