FDA requires a one-time repair of a Bruker D2 Phaser X-ray diffraction (XRD) system. Bruker NANO, Inc is the original manufacturer of the equipment and their service engineers are trained to maintain and repair their equipment. Bruker NANO, Inc. provides original parts to repair the Bruker D2 Phaser X-ray diffraction (XRD) system. They also have the required trained personnel with the knowledge needed to support efficiently their own equipment better than a third-party source. The use of unoriginal parts and service engineers that are not from the original manufacturer may result in unacceptable performance of the equipment. A third-party vendor cannot achieve the requirements of providing original parts and service engineers from the manufacturer. Sending the instrument to Bruker NANO, Inc. will ensure that the repair is conducted accurately so that the instrument is in full-operating condition.

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement within five (5) days after the publication of this synopsis which shall be considered by the agency.
