This acquisition is being issued in accordance with FAR Subpart 13.1. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice.  This announcement constitutes the only solicitation;  quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The acquisition is a small business 100% set-aside. Only quotes from small businesses registered as such in the CCR and ORCA databases will be considered for award.  No substitution of items.  Quotes must match requirements  exactly. The Naval Inventory Control Point, Mechanicsburg, PA intends to procure two each Brocade switches, BSwitch-300-R5 consisting of the following:
HARDWARE: (1) 24-Pt Brocade 300 Full Fab FC 8Gbps,-C,R5, Part # X-360-0008-R5-C, 2 Each; (2) Rackamount Kit, 4N2, DS14-Middle, R6, Part # X5515A-R6, 2 Each and (3) Power Cable North America, -C, R6, Part # X800E-R6-C, 2 Each.
SOFTWARE: (1) SW, Brocade 300 Enterprise Package, -C, Part # SW-BSW-SMEDEB-01-C, 2 Each. 
SERVICE: (1) SE Secure for Gvt, 7X24, 4hr Onsite - Mths: 36, Part # CS-SEC-4HR, 2 Each. 
ADDITIONAL PARTS AND COMPONENTS: (1) SFP, Brocade 8Gbps SWL 8-Pack, Part # X1867-8PK-R6, 6 Each.

These switches are required to support existing tape libraries and fiber channel tape drives for system and database backups at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Kittery, ME. These devices provide the necessary connectivity for system and database backups to tape for data recover and off site data storage for disaster recover.  Brocade is part of the Naval Shipyard Datacenter Standard Architecture Agreement therefore, to maintain compatibility and in accordance with Navy policy and DADMS approval, acquisition/procurement must be brand specific (Brocade).

The government will award a firm-fixed price contract resulting from this solitation to the responsible offerer whose quote conforms to the solicitation requirements and is the low priced quote submitted.
