This is a Notice of Intent, that the Naval Special Warfare Command Contracting Office intends to issue a sole source purchase order using Simplified Acquisition Procedures for one (1) each Part #DVL300-1553 Broadband Doppler Velocity Log (DVL), 300 kHz operating frequency with 1553 communications module.  Due to the unique and proprietary nature of this item, only one qualified supplier, Teledyne RD Instruments, Inc., is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of the Doppler Velocity Log (DVL).  Any purchase order that will be awarded under other than full and open competition as authorized by FAR 6.302-1.  This is not a request for offers.  A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.  Interested sources may submit a capability statement and a quotation which will be considered by the agency.  Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct future competitive procurements for this item.  All submissions must be received NLT 8:00 AM 22 September 2011The point of contact is Mr. Amando L.
