The Bridger-Teton National Forest is looking for 7-head riding horses for the wilderness/trails program that meet Forest Service safety standards. The work that the horses are used for necessitates that the animals purchased meet specific requirements. The Wilderness areas on the Bridger-Teton NF are large and remote, the terrain can be steep and rocky with frequent river crossings and requires reliable sure-footed horses.  A description of minimum requirements is contained in the attached RFQ PDF document.
