The Town of Braintree hereby solicits bids for Town-wide maintenance and repairs of Town- signals and equipment as determined necessary and as directed by the Department of Public Works – Engineering Division. Bids solicited herein shall be utilized by the Town to generate a list of responsible and qualified contractors who can perform traffic signal related maintenance on town-wide traffic signals throughout the contractual period. At the time that traffic maintenance projects are identified by the town as being necessary and to have available funding, the town shall solicit quotes for that specified scope of work to all contractors selected through this bidding process. The quotes submitted by each contractor shall reflect the labor rates and material mark-ups as submitted through this Invitation for Bids. [email protected]. Questions will be accepted until Friday, April 23rd, 2021. Proposals must be submitted on the prescribed forms, enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing on the outside the bidder's name and address and "Bid for Braintree Traffic Signal Repairs and Maintenance, Contract T21-1” and addressed to the Mayor and Council, Town of Braintree, 85 Quincy Avenue, Braintree, MA 02184. The successful bidders will be required to conform to the payment of Prevailing Wage Rates, as determined by the Commissioner of Labor & Industries under the provision of M.G.L. Chapter 149, Section 26 to 27D as amended. All bids must be accompanied by a returnable bid deposit in an amount that is five percent (5%) the value of the bid. Bids shall be in accordance with M.G.L. Chapter 30B, Chapter 149 as amended, and Chapter 30, Sections 39A, 39B and 39F-R. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids or to accept any part of a bid or the one deemed best for the Town and waive any informality in the bidding if it is in the best interest of the Town to do so.
