INVITATION TO BID BRAINTREE 2020 WATER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT Sealed bids will be received by the Mayor and Council, Town of Braintree, Massachusetts, as Awarding Authority until 11:00 AM, Thursday, August 6, 2020 at the DPW Administrative Office, 85 Quincy Avenue, first floor (Water & Sewer Division) for the Braintree 2020 Water Improvement Project No. 1, Contract No. W20-1 in the Town of Braintree. At that time, the bids will be opened and publicly read. The estimated cost of this project is $3,100,000. The work must be completed by August 31, 2021. The work includes installation of water mains and service connections on ten streets. The work will include full-width reclamation, excavation, grading, placement of a 2 ½ inch bituminous “dense binder” pavement. Contractors intending to bid on this project must comply with current MassDOT prequalification procedures.
