The City of Bowie requests quotations for the fabrications and installation of three sections of welded aluminum frame “shed style” awnings along the rear of the Bowie Playhouse located at Whitemarsh Park, at 16500 White Marsh Park Drive, Bowie, Maryland 20715. A copy of the full RFQ may be obtained by emailing your request to Robin Jones at [email protected]. The work shall conform to the scope of services contained in this Request for Quotations (RFQ). The City reserves the right to reject any bid if the evidence submitted by the bidder or an investigation of such bidder fails to satisfy the City that such bidder is properly qualified to carry out the obligations of the contract; and further reserves the right to reduce or modify the scope of the Project in order to meet funding limits and the City’s schedule. By submission of a quotation, the bidder represents that it has the ability to comply with all requirements contained in the bid documents. Interested contractors are encouraged to visit the site prior to submitting a quotation. All questions or clarifications regarding this Request for Quotations shall be submitted by email to Robin Jones at [email protected]. Deadline for inquiries is 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 8, 2021. Written responses to all questions and/or clarifications will be issued no later than Monday, September 13, 2021 to all those who request the RFQ. Electronic (pdf) quotations will be received via email to Robin Jones at [email protected] until 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 16, 2021. The subject line of the email must read PROPOSAL: CITY BOWIE PLAYHOUSE AWNING PROJECT. Quotations will not be publicly opened. All blanks on every form provided by the City in connection with this Request for Quotations must be filled in, and no change shall be made to any part of the text of the form. All quotations must be signed in blue ink by the bidder, with signature in full or using Adobe Acrobat Pro with a blue font. When a firm is a bidder, the agent who signs the firm name shall state the names and addresses of the individuals comprising the firm. Performance and payment bonds will not be required. Neither the City nor its representatives shall be liable for any expenses incurred in connection with the preparation of a response to this RFQ.
