The following services will be provided by Neogen Corporation:

Genotyping offspring from CGC calves born in 2016 on the GeneSeek Bovine LD ~50K SNP chip panel. Genotyping would be for 419 total offspring. Genotyping animals of Line 1 Hereford cattle on the GeneSeek Genomic Profiler Bovine 150K. Genotyping for the Line 1 Hereford cow herd population would be for 419 samples and DNA extraction. A -40 SNP multiplex from the bovine 50K SNP set and then run it on a random sampling of the submitted samples using the Sequenom mass spec platform. This insures robust integrity of sample identification and SNP data throughout the process.

Pursuant to the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The services will be provided for the USDA-ARS-NPA, Fort Keogh Livestock & Range Res LA, 243 Fort Keogh Road, Miles City, MT. 59301. The Government intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order on or about March 7, 2017. This Notice of Intent is not considered a Request for Quotation (RFQ) nor is it a Request for Proposals (RFP). No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
