Wireline geophysical logging services and hydrogeologic data interpretation at two open borehole sites in the Los Angeles metropolitan area.
INTRODUCTION: the USGS Research Drilling Program (RDP) has the need for a vendor to provide wireline geophysical logging services and hydrogeologic data interpretation at two open borehole sites, which will be drilled in the Los Angeles metropolitan area during calendar year 2021. The vendor will need to provide all geophysical logging tools, wireline setup, and logging staff. Required log surveys include: Combinable Magnetic Resonance (CMR), Spectral Gamma Ray (HNGS), Sonic Scanner Acoustic Scanning Platform (MSIP), High-Definition Formation Microimager (FMI), Induction array, Micro-resistivity, and caliper tools. The sites are located within the City of Cerritos and Paramount (California).
OBJECTIVE: to collect high-quality downhole geophysical logs from two 2,100 foot deep open boreholes; to process and quality assure data in a timely manner; and to provide meaningful hydrogeologic interpretation of results specific to the design and construction of a multiple-well (nested) monitoring site.
