Hillsborough County Public Schools (HCPS) will be upgrading the current Manitou platform used for managing the alarm panel to a Cloud-Based version. Bold Group handles all signals from alarm panels and provide it on their Manitou platform for fire, intrusion, and alarm panel status. Upgrading Manitou to its cloud-based version will bring the platform and HCPS dispatchers to industry standards. Bold Group will manage the “Surgard” alarm receiver, which is a separate component from the Manitou platform to receive alarm signals from panels via telephone lines. The receiver then communicates with the Manitou platform to generate an alarm state.
