It is the intent of the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC), Washington, DC to award a sole source fixed price contract to Bloomberg L.P. for the purchase of usage of their financial market data and analytical tools. This is a patented product that usage of the tools are sold by Bloomberg L.P. Bloomberg L.P. has specifically designed and engineered this product for its specific application in the financial markets. Bloomberg L.P. is the only available source to provide the financial tools to value plan assets critical to meeting PBGC's mission.
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. All interested suppliers who feel they have the capability to perform these services must submit a capability statement no later than 2:00 pm Eastern Standard Time, 04 February 2014. All submittals will be considered by the Government. This notice represents the only official notice of such solicitation. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. No RFP will be issued based upon this Notice of Intent.
