Life Technologies Corporation is the only source available to provide the mission critical laboratory supplies currently in use by CDC. These supplies are necessary for the validation of routine standardized testing and are formatted to be conducted with the sequencing system machines currently in the CDC laboratories. CDC intends to solicit and negotiate this requirement under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 (c) and 41 U.S.C. 253(c)1. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination to compete this procurement based on a response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested parties who believe they possess the capabilities to satisfy this requirement should submit a capability statement demonstrating their abilities to meet this requirement. The due date for this Intent to Sole Source has been extended. All responses should be received by May 3, 2013 at 5:00PM, Eastern Standard Time (EST). All responses must be in writing and must be sent via email to [email protected] with the solicitation number referenced in the subject line. No phone calls will be accepted.
