The Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center/PZIA is seeking potential sources to provide Calibrations of Blackbody Systems meeting the following criteria:
Provide for 1 Year Calibrations of the following items, over a 3 year term.:
• Blackbody System Model IR-563/201 (source) and (controller)
• Blackbody System Model IR-563/301 (source) and (controller)
• Blackbody System Model IR-564/301 (source) and (controller)
Terms:
1.) Instrument calibration shall be done to the manufacturer's, Infrared Systems Development Corp., original, relevant specifications, as listed in the original equipment manual and summarized in the following, by only qualified personnel with experience calibrating blackbodies from Infrared System Development.
a. Temperature Range: 50 C to 1200 C
b. Calibration Accuracy: +/- 0.2 C +- 1 digit
c. Stability: +/- 0.02% of full scale per 24-hour period
d. Resolution: 1 C or .1 C Selectable
e. Warm up time (Amb to 1200 C): 70 minutes
f. Cavity Emissivity: 0.99 +/- 0.01%
g. Aperture Temperature: less than 20 C above ambient at 1200 C
h. Housing Temperature: less than 15 C above ambient at 1200 C
2.) Instruments should be calibrated to specifications using standards having traceability to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
3.) Calibration methods should be in accordance with ANSI/NCSL Z540 and MIL-STD-45662A
4.) Calibration should be performed by comparison with standard type "S" thermocouple. The calibration procedure described in section 3.1 of the NIST Special Publication 250-35.
5.) A N.I.S.T. traceable Calibration Certificate will be issued for each item listed above following calibration. The above listed items are cavity blackbody source systems, which each include a Source and matched Temperature Controller.

Respondents may include Statement of Capabilities (SOC), limited to 2 pages, and demonstration of experience in Blackbody System Calibration meeting the specifications listed. In addition please indicate if annual calibration over a three year period is a standard service offered.
