The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) intends to negotiate on an other than full and open competition for additional Biosensors for the Fortebio equipment with Fortebio Inc., 1360 Willow Rd Ste 201, Menlo Park, CA and they do not have any authorized third party resellers for this particular product. This is not a request for proposal. All responsible sources who are certified by Fortebio Inc as authorized third party resellers may submit a proposal. The vendors shall provide certification from OEM that they are authorized reseller provider of these biosensors. All responsible sources may submit a response that will be considered. This will be a firm fixed price contract in accordance with the statutory authority for this sole source requirement 41 U.S.C. 253 (c) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 only one source available, no substitutions possible, and equipment must be compatible with existing systems. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
