The USDA/ARS intends to award a Firm fixed price sole source contract under the authority of 41 U.S.C 253(c)(1) and FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), only one responsible source, to:

Description of Requirement: The objective of this sole source award is to procure a class 1 biocontainment system that must have a HEPA filter that communicates with the Biorad S3e ProSort software on the Biorad S3e Flow Cytometer already in use; allow access to all four sides of the S3e Flow Cytometer; and be certified according to NSF/ANSI 49-2011 and International Society for Advancement of Cytometry guidelines. This requirement will be for the purchase of one (1) Biorad S3e Biosafety System Class 1 Biocontainment Chamber. The NAICS code for this requirement is 334516; the small business size standard is 1,000 employees.

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement.
