The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to issue a sole source firm fixed priced purchase order to Qiagen,27220 Turnberry Lane, Valencia, Ca  91355-1018, for the following Line Items: Catalog #9001090, BIOROBOT Universal Platform closed; Catalog #9238421, Installation, BR, Standard Solution; and Catalog #9016755, Appl. Pack Genotyping for Univ PF. The Government believes that Qiagen is the only known manufacturer that can provide the required equipment for the Agency. The statutory authority for this sole source acquisition is 41 U.S.C. 253-a (a) (1), in accordance with FAR Part 13.106-1(b) only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the Agency requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.  The determination not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.  Interested parties who believe they possess the capabilities to satisfy this requirement should submit a capability statement demonstrating their abilities to meet this requirement. All responses will be considered.
