The Naval Oceanographic Office, Stennis Space Center, MS intends to issue a sole source award to Western Environmental Technology Laboratory Inc. (Wet Labs Inc.) in Philomath, OR under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) and in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. This is a requirement for the purchase of two (2) Bathyphotometers (Bioluminescent Measuring Instruments/UBAT System) with associated software, validation light source and test cable. These systems are proprietary to Wet Labs Inc. Wet Labs Inc is the original equipment manufacturer for bioluminescent systems currently in use by NAVOCEANO. Any change to the equipment configuration would damage the compatibility of the existing equipment. This action will be conducted in accordance with FAR 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The resulting contract will be firm fixed-price.
