Synopsis of proposed contract action for EPPENDORF NORTH AMERICA, INC. to provide a BioFlo 120 Work Station. The EPPENDORF model BioFlo 120 system can maintain a specific temperature, pH, gas environment in order for the E. Coli bacteria to be modified. The system can also provide the bacteria solution to be pumped through a spectrophetometer to monitor the process of the reaction. The solicitation number for this synopsis is FA9300-21-Q-6010. The place of performance is the Air Force Research Lab (AFRL) at Edwards Air Force Base (AFB), CA.
AFRL/RQRP requires a bioprocess control station that performs high energy explosive synthesizing by using a new synthetic method that utilizes modified E. Coli bacteria. The modified bacteria will be maintained at a specific temperature, pH, gas environment. Additionally, the bacterial solution must be pumped through a spectrophotometer to monitor the progress of the reaction. The Eppendorf BioFlo 120 has these test capabilities. It allows the E. Coli to react under controlled conditions and can be pumped through columns and analytical equipment to monitor progress. The BioFlo control station can stream analyzed samples by re-circulating them back into the reactor using built-in research setting.
