This publication serves as notice of intent for service that will be acquired from Dr. Maymood Shivji, NOVA Southeastern University, to provide Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) forensic identification of Atlantic billfishes for management, conservation and law enforcement. The services are being acquired for U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Marine Fisheries Services, in Miami, FL .

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive responses. A determination by the government not to compete the acquisitions was based upon responses to the original notice.  A sources sought posting was put out on Fedbizzops on August 12, 2010 for 10 days with no responses received.
