The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to issue a sole source purchase order to Applied Biosystems, 850 Lincoln Centre Drive, Foster, City, CA 94404 for one bottle of BigDye Terminator v3.1 Cycle Sequencing Kit (5000 reactions) for use in existing Applied Biosystems equipment performing sequencing reactions in molecular typing assays for the Meningitis Laboratory. The reagent is optimized for use on AB 3130 genetic analyzers located at CDC. CDC believes that this requirement is met by only one provider. This procurement will be processed under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and 6.302-2. Only one responsible source and no other sources will satisfy agency requirements. No solicitation is being issued.
