This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation, Notice of Intent. The Government intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Life Technologies for a Big Dye Terminator v3.1 RR-5000 & Sequencing Buffer, a BigDye XTerminator Kit 50ML, and MicroAmp® Optical 96-Well Reaction Plate, in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as applicable, and supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are not being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Submit offers on NOI-RML-5-13018.
The solicitation documents and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-66 dated April 1, 2013. This acquisition will be processed under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) and is not a Small Business Set-Aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 325413 and the small business size is 500.
SCHEDULE: The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), Rocky Mountain Laboratories (RML), performs basic research contributing to the development of diagnostic reagents, therapeutics and vaccines against human pathogens. The RML currently uses Life Technologies Sequencing equipment which requires certain kits and reagents to function optimally. Kits and reagents must be fully compatible with Life Technologies Sequencing equipment. RML has a need to purchase one each of Big Dye Terminator v3.1 RR-5000 & Sequencing Buffer (catalog # 4337457), one each of BIGDYE XTERMINATOR KIT 50ML (catalog # 4376484) and 50 packs of MicroAmp® Optical 96-Well Reaction Plate no barcode (catalog # N8010560).
FOB Point shall be Destination, Hamilton, MT. Delivery location is Rocky Mountain Laboratories, 903 S. 4th Street, Hamilton, MT.
