The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) intends to procure BigDye® Terminator v1.1 Cycle Sequencing Kit, 5000 reactions, Quantity: 1 each, from Life Technologies Corporation, 3175 Staley Road, Grand Island, New York 14072.  The BigDye® Terminator v1.1 Cycle Sequencing Kit provides the required reagent components for the sequencing reaction in a ready reaction, pre-mixed format. You need only provide your template and template-specific primer. These reagents are suitable for performing fluorescence-based cycle sequencing reactions on single-stranded or double-stranded DNA templates, on polymerase chain reaction (PCR) fragments, and on large templates (for example, BAC clones). Note: This kit includes BigDye® Terminator v1.1/3.1 Sequencing Buffer (5X), which has been specifically optimized for use with the new BigDye ® ready reaction mixes. This buffer should be used for any reaction optimization you undertake.

Any other similar product would result in changes to the existing experiment.

This will be a firm fixed price contract in accordance with the statutory authority for this sole source requirement 41 U.S.C. 253 (c) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 only one source available, no substitutions possible.  All responsible sources who feel they can meet these requirements shall submit an offer that will be considered by the Agency.  A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.  Offers must be submitted no later than 5:00 P.M.
